To criminalise guns is to criminalise freedom.

Throughout history the first move of any oppressive leader is to disarm the people, leaving no chance for rebellion or resistance and surprise surprise what has been one of the main policies of the left wing establishment? No more guns. But how much harm does gun ownership really have on the world? We’re going to take a look at some of the facts, figures and myths about firearms.

First of all we’ve all heard this one, mass shootings happen all the time because people can: ‘buy assault weapons at Wallmart’. Effectively the liberals are trying to tell us that anyone who buys a gun is intent of mass murder; but how true even is that? In the period from 1983 to 2012, there were 78 public mass shootings in the U.S. resulting in 547 deaths and injuring 476 people, according to a Congressional Research Service report. The report defined “public mass shootings” as those that happen in public places, claim at least four victims and have a “somewhat indiscriminate” choice of victims. 78 mass shootings, 547 deaths, sounds staggering doesn’t it? But let’s break it down: where did they happen, how severe were they, who was there to shoot back?

Now you may be confused, 78 mass shootings, that can’t be right, can it? Well just read back and see what defines a mass shooting because the Obama Administration seem a little confused. However lets say we take what MSNBC says as truth (please never actually do this) which is that 110 mass shootings took place between 2009-2014 then according the research by Breitbart 92% of those ‘mass shootings’ took place in gun free zones. Apart from this, the rise of leftist, liberal media means the image in most people’s head is that America is a crazy land of gun violence but this too, is wrong. Not only has gun crime decreased by 49% since 1993 but 61% of all gun deaths were suicide deaths; compare that to 35% of gun deaths which were actually homicides. Of all the deaths in 2013 in fact: only 1.3% were firearm related.

So why are the oppressive establishment trying to take our firearms? The answer is simple but to really understand the answer we must first look at the second amendment.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people the keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

A common liberal argument is that the clause only extends to a ‘Militia’ and therefore the people should not be allowed to bear arms. But it was George Mason who said:

“I ask who are the militia? They consist now of the whole people, except a few public officers.”

he said this because the people were armed in the view of liberty, to defend their freedom should a government or organisation arise to take their freedom from them. Who could possibly make up a Militia to defend a state’s freedom? Not the government, they would be the ones trying to take the freedom. So who? That’s right, the people. The establishment want to take away our firearms so we will have no way to protect our freedom from them. Whatever you do, do not give up your gun. Not until the sun doesn’t shine, the birds don’t sing and the rivers run with dust and bone.
